Kirsten Anna “KAZ” Zarnetske’s background is extensive and diverse lending her to be a great fit for our setting as you look to find the help and support you need and want for you and your loved ones. Having been a lifelong adventurista and lover of world travel, extreme sports, nature, food, dogs and volunteering, she started her professional career at 14 years old on the ski slopes working to help others, whether competitive freestyle skiers or kids and adults with specific physical, psychosocial emotional, and cognitive needs, create safe and fulfilling recreation through movement . She found through ski instructing, instructor training, coaching, program development, etc. that one of her greatest strengths and passions was and is supporting others in finding and creating their best selves through movement-based learning and skill building. After her ACL surgeries at 20 and 21, she found that same passion in the technical equipment side of the sports industry, working to help others access their outdoor movement goals for life through boot fitting, footwear support, gait analysis, and other equipment/clothing needs in shops and on the road with companies like Lange/Dynastar/Rossignol/Roxy, Nordica, and Rossignol. Thus, she decided to put more education behind that which she was doing, especially gait analysis and foot health, to help people keep moving as long and as comfortably as possible. Knowing face to face time and teaching were her greatest strengths while also wanting to give support in progressive, preventative, and more conservative options aside from medication and/or surgery, she decided to pursue her doctorate in Physical Therapy versus pursuing medical school to be an Orthopedic surgeon. As a firm believer in that the body is designed to heal and be as functional as possible, she has become an expert in creating and helping individuals maximize fostering their own body’s healing and compensatory capacities for being in control of their best outcomes. Working with a myriad of health and orthopedic challenges herself, KAZ brings compassion and empathy to every session, every step of the way because she knows how individualistic we all are, and that no one person will have the same needs as another, and that those needs may change. She sees her place as an educator and a navigator of health, wellness, and life by bringing evidence-based practices and research into a setting of teamwork and solution-based sessions where the individual has the autonomy to decide what they want out of their time and with which strategic plan approach presented they wish to proceed.
