Spa Voyage started as a thought to open a spa island in 2016, a spa manager told Eliza "you NEED Lava Shell!". Incorporated in 2018, Lava Shell was the first call Eliza made. In 2019, Eliza finished her Bachelor's Degree at UMaine at Augusta (Justice, Advocacy, and Psychology) and completed the Top Gun Business Accelerator. She then went to Oahu to understand the healing art of the very magical place people still talk about after years of visiting. 

Instead of asking you to imagine you're going somewhere warm, we want you to feel swept away on a voyage with our tropical aesthetic.

November 2019 Spa Voyage opened just over the Saco Bridge in Biddeford and began massage on a sailboat with Broad Reach Adventures. After investing 6 months of heart and soul into marketing, businesses closed due to covid. While Spa Voyage maintained the space for a couple of months, they moved to 110 Main Street Saco, Maine. There was an error in paperwork double booking the lease, requiring the spa to move everything into storage and reconvene. 

Eliza searched high and low, assessing properties, locations, and the best space when she found the upstairs of a beautiful building, plenty of parking, and a great street sign in Kennebunk, Maine over the Kennebunkport bridge. This would be perfect for former classmates of Thornton Academy, as well as an easy trip for a client base built in South Portland, Cape Elizabeth, Scarborough, and New Hampshire.

Spa Voyage broke back into the spa market when allowed to reopen in July 2020 in Kennebunk, Maine. Starting with massage and then tested the salon services market. With more interest in aesthetics, Spa Voyage pivoted the court to adapt to customer interest and picked up both flagship skin and body care lines Ola and Honua. 

Spa Voyage maintained massage, body treatments, and aesthetics through '21 and went to only massage due to interest and a slower time in the spa market. Spa Voyage had the opportunity to expand to the entire building in '22 and took a chance to show the market what the full spa experience would look like. 

Spa Voyage has a refreshed new look and as the spa market rejuvenates from its sleep, we are excited to bring you an array of spa services from massage to reiki, aesthetics, meditation, ball room dancing, sound healing, yoga, to a spa garden/nursery and world spa travel advising.
